Shirley Anne Hart Davis passed away peacefully on April 1, 2025, in South Jordan, Utah at the age of 81. She was born on January 2, 1944, in Ontario, Oregon to George Hart and Selda Epling Hart.

Shirley spent her early years in Vale, Oregon where she developed a deep and lasting love for nature, animals, fishing, and music. These passions became lifelong companions, bringing her joy in both solitude and shared moments with others.

At the age of ten, Shirley's family joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints-a pivotal moment that shaped the rest of her life. Her faith became a guiding force and inspired decades of devoted service within the church. Among her many callings she found particular joy in serving as a ward organist. Through this role she combined her musical talent with her spiritual devotion.

While attending Brigham Young University, Shirley met Gerald Davis. They married in 1964 and together raised eight children. Though they later divorced, Gerald remained a supportive presence in her life.

Shirley's professional life reflected her compassion and dedication. She worked at her children's middle school and as a medical transcriptionist before spending many years employed at Beehive Clothing. However, it was within the home that Shirley found her greatest fulfillment-raising her children with patience and love. Her joy grew with the arrival of grandchildren. She spent time teaching them and caring for them.

She is survived by her sister, Barbara Hart; her children: LeAnne (Dale) Cox, Lorin Davis, Ray (Annette) Davis, Sherene Easter, Merritt Davis, Brenden (Lindsay) Davis, Emily (Jared Luther) Floyd, and Holly (Nathan) Murphy; as well as by her former husband Gerald Davis. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Don Hart.

In recent months, Shirley's cheerful spirit continued to shine brightly. Her caregivers and new friends were touched by her kindness and uplifted by the sweet smile that never left her face. Even in her final days, she could be found humming hymns and tapping along to their familiar rhythms - an enduring testament to the joy she found in music and faith.

Shirley leaves behind a legacy of devotion to the Savior and an abiding appreciation for beauty - in art, music, nature, and human connection. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
