Shirley Lee Davis

Shirley Lee Davis, 67 of Westminster, MD was born on January 18, 1959, departed this life on January 29, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Shirley vowed her life and soul to Christ and was saved at the age of 26 years old at Sharon Missionary Baptist Church. She was a faithful member of Granite Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Lenora Mathis, Sister Brenda Teal, and her baby boy Matthew Paul Davis.

Shirley is survived by her husband of 50 years David Lee Davis Sr. Children David Davis Jr and wife Emily of Westminster, Amy Barnard and husband Donnie of Westminster, Kimberly Bankert and husband Eric of Westminster, Ashley Davis of Woodbine, and Jonathan Davis and wife Samantha of Westminster. 16 grandchildren: Holly, Mckenzie, Brooke, Darren, Devin, Kaylee, Shelby, Rylee, Logan, Dustin, Autumn, Dakota, Allen, Morgan, Alana, and Jonathan Jr. 6 great grandchildren: Adalyn, Harley, Kayson, Jase, Macie, and Bowen. Siblings: Irene Davis and husband Ron of Hampstead, Daniel Mathis and wife Gracie of Tennessee, Fern Blubaugh of Virginia, Roger Mathis of Tennessee, Thomas Mathis of Tennessee.

Upon marriage Shirley started her family raising her 5 children and continued to care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She then reentered the work force as a cafeteria staff member of Howard County Public Schools for several years. She also was the cook at Lookabout Manor Assisted Living Facility for the past 15 years.

Shirley loved vacationing with her family and friends and opening her home to her many grand and great grandchildren for pool days and many other fun family activities, they were the joy of her life. She was known to be the most amazing wife, mother, and nana to so many.

The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, February 3rd, 2026, from 2pm - 4pm and 6pm - 8pm at Haight Funeral Home and Chapel located at 6416 Sykesville Road Sykesville, MD 21784

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 4th, 2026, at 11am at Sharon Missionary Baptist Church located in West Friendship MD. The wake will follow the funeral service at Sykesville Freedom District Fire Department. All friends and family are welcome to attend.
