Shirley Ann Driehorst

Driehorst, Shirley Ann Stark, 91, of Wheeling, WV, passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at her home surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born on December 28, 1934, in Wheeling, WV, daughter of the late John and Frances E. Chadwick Stark.

Shirley was in sales for Stone & Thomas and Hornes for 25 years, and retired as a secretary from Plohal Honda in Bridgeport, WV.

She liked to travel, was the life of the party and she always brightened up everyone's life. She was a loving wife, mom, grandma, great-grandmother, and friend to all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Robert Plohal.

Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 27 years, Samuel Robert Driehorst; two sons, Robert L. (Ann) Plohal and John A. (Amber) Plohal; four grandchildren, Lora Plohal, Chad Plohal, Jonathan Plohal, and Jenna Plohal Ford; six great-grandchildren, Izabella, Jaxon, Lucy, Noah, Olivia and Jack; and her dog, Buster.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 from 2-4 & 6-8 at Kepner Funeral Homes, 900 National Road, Wheeling, WV (304-232-2732) where services will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at 1:00 PM with Reverend Erica Harley officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling, WV.

Shirley's family would like to thank Visiting Angels, Leigh, Betty, Cheyenne, and Michelle. Leigh was with us for 3 years. Also, thank you to Valley Hospice for their kindness and tender love and care.
