Shirley Ann Eustace, 89, passed away on July 15, 2025. Shirley was born one of nine children to Mable Stockdale and Charles Griner on July 12th, 1936.

Shirley married Louis Shelly Eustace on December 27, 1952, and they went on to have four daughters.

She worked most of her life starting at an early age waitressing at her Aunt's Diner working behind the soda fountain at the corner drug store, monitoring alarms at Circle Alarm Co, and finally working in environmental services at St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove for 23 years and not retiring until her husband's passing.

She is survived by her children Susan (William) Jeffries, Vicki Kunzelman, Debra Sullivan and Shelley (Mark) Johnson, 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren with one on the way, 4 great-great grandchildren, sister Mary Carolyn Taylor, Sisters-in-law Priscilla Marshall and Diane Griner as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Louis Eustace, son-in-law Steve Sullivan, Grandson Matthew Kunzelman and brothers Charles, Richard, Paul, and Robert Griner as well as three sisters Valera Driesback, Rosie Edmonds, and Katie Meador.

We thank the staff at University Heights long term care facility for the care that they gave our mother the last two months of her life.

We are happy that she is no longer suffering but is peacefully sleeping until the day that the lord returns to take us home.

A visitation in Shirley's honor will be held 12-2pm following with a funeral service at 2pm on Sunday July 20th, 2025, at Flanner Buchanan-Washington Park East Funeral Home.
