Mrs Flournoy where do I start? The news of your passing came as a shock to me and I write this with such a heavy heart. The last time I saw you you hugged me so tight and wished me luck in my studies to become the teacher you inspired me to be. You taught me so much mrs flournoy from 7th grade til I worked with you in 12th and I thank you for it all. I pray that you're in a better place. I'll never forget you

What a shock to hear of Shirley's passing. We used to call her "Curly" Shirley when I was Clinic Attendent at Sandston. I think she followed me in the clinic upon my retirement. It was a real treat to work with her. Once she came to know you, you became her friend!! What a legacy she leaves behind!!!

I am so sorry for your loss. I used to work with Shirley at central office. Unfortunately, we did not see much of each other after Shirley left. But a group of us got together this summer for lunch and exchanged pics of the grandkids. Shirley was a special person and will be greatly missed. I pray that God will watch over you and keep you strong.

John,
We're so sorry to hear about Shirleys passing. She and I (Marcia) grew up together in Sandston and graduated HSHS together in 1966. She was such a good person in school and grew to be an even nicer person as she got older. We know your heart is heavy right now and we hope you know that all of us are praying for and your family during your time of sorrow.

I am sorry to hear of your loss. Mrs. Flournoy was my nurse at Sandston Elementary for a few years. She always told everyone that I was going to make something of myself one day. I am working towards making that come true. She would be proud of me for things I can and will someday achieve. We will miss you Mrs. Flournoy!
