Shirley Beth Gregersen left her Earthly home to join the arms of the Lord on April 7, 2024, at the age of eighty-seven in Hollis, Oklahoma.
On December 3rd, 1936 on the family farm near Ron, Shirley was born the youngest of six to Cecel Trammell and Jewel Ethel (Reynolds) Trammell. She was raised and educated in Hollis, Oklahoma, where she graduated from Hollis High School in 1956. In 1978 Shirley went into the medical field. She started working at Colonial Manor II in Hollis as a nurse's aid before moving up to medicine aid, but she found her calling as the social activity director. She also worked at Harmon County Memorial Hospital as a dietary specialist. She stayed in the medical field before retiring at the age of sixty-five. Shirley loved caring for others. She took great pride in being able to help those who needed it. She had a kind heart that loved everyone she met. Shirley never met a stranger.
Shirley married the love of her life and other half, Roland Duane Gregersen on December 7th, 2001 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Hollis was where they settled and raised their blended family. Shirley was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Hollis, Oklahoma. She loved attending church whenever she could and was a devoted Christian. Shirley also loved to read, often using it as her way of relaxing. She would crochet and spend time with her kids and grandkids. Shirley loved cats and enjoyed spoiling them. She even crochet them clothes. Being with her family was everything to Shirley she cherished every moment she had with them. She would do anything for her family, she was always there for them to offer guidance, and a warm smile. Shirley leaves a legacy of love and devotion to her family.
Greeting Shirley at the pearly gates are her parents Cecel Trammell and Ethel Jewel (Reynolds) Trammell; brother, John Trammell; sisters, Ceciel Alexander and Jo Sutton.
