Shirley J. Hadad, age 89 of Grosse Ile, MI, peacefully passed away at home surrounded by family on December 16, 2024. She is survived by her children Ruth, David, and Sammi, as well as her brother Terry (Becky) Fox and brother-in-law Ed Kuba. She also leaves behind her dog Patches, who served as her faithful companion. Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ruth Fox, her husband Richard, her sisters, Lois (roger) Clark and Helen Kuba, as well as her grandchildren Joshua and Richard.
Shirley was a speech pathologist for the Dearborn School District, in which she took a break to raise her children. Later in life, she went back to work for the Huron School District, retiring after 12 years. She enjoyed playing Bridge and was in many Bridge
Clubs. Shirley was an avid reader, enjoyed crosswords, and spending time with her family.
Visitation will be held at the Trenton Chapel of the Martenson Family of Funeral Homes on Saturday, December 21, 2024 from 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm. There will be a funeral service held on Sunday, December 22, 2024 at Grosse Ile Presbyterian Church at 1:00
pm. In honor of Shirley, memorial contributions can be made to Grosse Ile Presbyterian Church.
