Shirley Shaw Henderson, age 82, widow of Arthur "Art" Henderson, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 22, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Aaron and Laura Daniel Shaw. She was also preceded in death by her first husband of 35 years, Bill R. Poore.
She was retired from Winn Dixie with 29 years of service and Ingles with 7 years of service. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church. Shirley loved her church, family and friends.
Survivors include her sons, Jimmy Poore (Willette), Mike Poore (Lisa) both of Anderson; stepson, Mike Henderson (Gwen) of Fayetteville, TN; stepdaughter, Debbie Driskoll of Atlanta, GA; one grandson, John Paul Poore (Kayla) of Anderson; two brothers, David Shaw (Sylvia) of Anderson, and Ronnie Shaw (Linda) of Anderson; and sister, Debbie Shaw of Anderson.
A cryptside service will be held Friday, May 26, 2023, at 11:00 am at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Chaplain Douglas Simmons officiating. The family will greet guests immediately following the service.
The family would like to thank the staff of Agape Care-Upstate Community Hospice for the comfort you gave Shirley, as well as the wonderful insight, knowledge, and emotional support you showed our family.
