Shirley L. Hinkle, 92, of Akron, passed away on September 15, 2025. She was born in Akron on September 4, 1933 to the late John and Iva {Blankenship} Klimek.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her beloved husband Thomas Hinkle, loving companion Joe Moye, and siblings Neal, Crystal and Joanne.
Shirley is survived by her loving children Vickie (Chris) Motz, Terry (Cheryl) Hinkle and John (Richelle) Hinkle; grandchildren Reighard, Reed, Tom (Stephanie), Ryan (Niki), Cody, Kirstin and Matt; great-grandchildren Trevor, Thomas, Shelby, Maggie, Mackenzie and Milo.
Shirley was a resident of Ellet for over 60 years, and she loved filling her home with plants and flowers. Her faith and her family were the two cornerstones of her life.

Family and friends are invited to visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305 on Sunday, September 21st from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, September 22nd at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow the service at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park, where Shirley will be laid to rest with Tom.
