Mrs. Shirley A. Hutchinson the daughter of James Taylor Sr, Griffin Georgia and Mildred Taylor, Griffin, Georgia, was born May 18, 1946, in Griffin, Georgia.

Shirley, during most of her youth and teen years, lived in many different parts of the world including Europe due to her father being enlisted in the Army. She would often talk about the experiences she shared with her sister and brother while living abroad.

She was also educated in Germany, which is also where her little brother was born. Shirley spoke German fluently and enjoyed having conversations, in German, with her youngest great-granddaughter who she encouraged to learn the language.

Shirley was married for over 40 years and even though her son and daughter are up in age, they still affectionately called her “Mommy".

She worked for RCA for over 30 years, then for BMG when RCA went out of business. She was a hard worker and was often rewarded for perfect attendance. She was a wonderful and kind woman who had a great sense of humor and loved laughing and spending time with her family.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, James and Mildred Taylor, brother, James Taylor Jr, her sister Fannie K. Garrett, grandson, Brandon Remington Taylor and son in-law Louis Owsley.

Shirley leaves to cherish her memory husband, Leo Hutchinson, daughter, Kimberly Owsley (Louis), son Michael Watkins, grandson Joshua A. Taylor (Jasmine), grandson Michael Watkins Jr, granddaughter Sydney Watkins and great-granddaughters Jaylee and Jaylin Taylor, nephew Gerald Garrett, and her dog Champ.
