SHIRLEY G. JANEZICH, age 86, of Willard, WI, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2024 at Marshfield Medical Center in Neillsville, WI. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Monday, December 30, 2024 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Willard. Rev. Emmanuel Famiyeh will officiate, and burial will be held in the parish cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 9am until the time of service, with a rosary service at 8:45am.
Shirley Gertrude Lindner was born on April 14, 1938, in Greenwood, WI, to Casper and Marie (Keller) Lindner. She attended St. Mary's Catholic School and graduated from Greenwood High School in 1956. After completing her education, Shirley worked at Clark Electric Coop until her marriage to Henry D. Janezich on May 30, 1958, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Greenwood. She farmed with her husband and worked as a nurse's aide at Neillsville Memorial Hospital until retiring in the early 2000's.
She had many interests, but especially enjoyed woodworking, sewing, raising flowers, gardening, canning, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Henry, of Willard; four children: Bruce Janezich of Willard, Sandy (Lorne) Mackie of Richlands, NC, Gail (Tom) Kelble of Plover, WI, Brian (Marie) Janezich of Winona, MN; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three brothers: Donald (MaryAnn) Lindner of Greenwood, LaVerne (Joan) Lindner of Loyal, and Richard (Bonnie) Lindner of Greenwood; two sisters: Jeanette Sullivan of Dumfries, VA, and Dorothy Wessell of Sheboygan; one sister-in-law: Shirley Lindner of Loyal; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters: Elaine "Sis" Herdrich, Jacqueline "Jackie" Lindner, Irene "Boutz" Wilke; and two brothers: Carl and Arthur Lindner.
