Shirley Ann Marable, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, born November 30, 1934 in Commerce, TX, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2024 in San Marcos, TX. She was the daughter of Jack & Juanita Morgan and grew up with 1 brother, James Morgan in Commerce, TX.
Shirley was best known as an administrative assistant and started a business career in Dallas, TX with a homebuilder. Shirley made a hair appointment with Duane Marable, a hair dresser who worked at a beauty salon not far from her work. Long story short, they were married for 65 years. Shirley and Duane ran several businesses throughout Shirley's lifetime, but will be remembered for running a very successful cosmetology business and cosmetology school in Dallas and Plano, TX. Shirley had a tremendous love for any type of music, Frank Sinatra and the soap opera- Days of our Lives.
Shirley is predeceased by her parents, Jack and Juanita and brother James Morgan. She is survived by her husband Duane Marable of San Marcos, TX; daughter, Debra Marable and daughter-in-law, Amanda Clower and granddogs, Raina and Reese of San Marcos, TX; daughter, Meredith Palmer, son-in-law Marc Palmer, granddaughter Gracie Palmer and granddog Conroe of Hideaway, TX and many cousins, nieces and nephews and extended family.
There will be no service and a family gathering will be conducted at a later time.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her honor to the Alzheimer's Alliance.
