Shirley Ann Morrow

Shirley Ann Morrow, 80, of Yukon, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at home on February 15, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones after a long battle with cancer.

Born on June 2, 1945, in Panama City, Florida, Shirley was the beloved daughter of Leo and Myrtle Lakin. She graduated from Putnam City High School and continued her education at Oscar Rose College. Shirley built a dedicated career in finance and administrative service, working with the Oklahoma Department of Health Environmental Services, serving as secretary to the president of Oklahoma Employees Credit Union, and later as a secretary in the curing department at Dayton Tire. Even in retirement, Shirley remained active and engaged, warmly greeting customers as a cashier at the Walmart Supercenter, where her bright smile became a familiar and welcoming sight.

Throughout her life, Shirley was known for her kindness, humor, dedication, resilience, her love of steaming hot coffee, and her never-ending craving for sweets. She had a creative spirit and enjoyed many hobbies over the years, including crocheting, baking, making floral arrangements, shopping, and playing a multitude of games. She especially loved the Christmas season, decorating her home with Santa Claus figurines, watching Hallmark Christmas movies, and delighting in both giving and receiving gifts. Whether through a handmade creation or a thoughtful gesture, she shared her love generously with family and friends.

On February 14, 2026, Shirley celebrated 39 wonderful years of marriage with her devoted husband, Keith Morrow. Together they built a life centered on love, laughter, and family.

She is survived by her husband, Keith; her children, Tony (Anh) Stokes, Ronnie Anthony, Jr., Christy Rose, and stepson Troy Morrow; her grandchildren, Nicole Stokes, Chase Stokes, Ryan Anthony, Miranda Stokes, and Cherish Robertson; along with many beloved step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought her tremendous pride and joy. She is also survived by her siblings, Dawn Smith and Alan (Marilyn) Lakin; and her beloved nieces and nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Myrtle Lakin; and her son-in-law, Joe Rose

Shirley's warmth, laughter, and even her occasional side eye will live on in all who knew and loved her.
