Shirley Lynn Oliver, 78, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, August 26, 2025.
Born on September 29, 1946, in Eastman, Georgia, Shirley was the beloved daughter of the late Reverend John E. Cannon and Elizabeth Rose Register Cannon. After graduating high school, she briefly worked as a civilian at Robins Air Force Base before devoting herself fully to her family and home.
A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Shirley found great joy in homemaking. She had a talent for interior decorating, was an accomplished seamstress, and loved shopping excursions with family and friends. Her caring heart extended to animals as she cared for her cherished puppies. She also found lasting friendship and companionship in her dear friends of 50 years, Betty and Byron Cotton.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her son, Jason Avery Oliver; and brother, a Vietnam veteran, Willard Joe Cannon.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her husband of 50 years, Harry Thomas Oliver; daughter, Alana Rose Oliver; grandchildren, Jody Thomas Oliver and Alex Nations; and daughter-in-law, Tonya Oliver, all of Warner Robins.
Visitation with family and friends will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025, from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m.in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Shirley Lynn Oliver will be laid to rest privately.
