Visit the McCullough Funeral Home website to view the full obituary.

Frank W. Freeman, 91, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 26, 2025. Frank was born on September 29, 1933, in Toombs County to the late Willie and Ann Dowd. Frank was also preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Hawkins Freeman, adoptive father, Emory Freeman, and sister, Wynell Sharp.

Frank proudly enlisted in the Army National Guard, where he served with dedication until his retirement. Following his military career, he continued serving his community as a civil servant for many years at Robins Air Force Base. Known for his skill and love of mechanics, Frank spent much of his life working on small engines and boats, a passion that eventually inspired him to open his own business, Frank’s Small Engine Repair. Outside of work, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially fishing and tending to his garden. He will be missed by those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Frank is survived by daughters, Pamela Boggs (Denny) of Warner Robins and Deana Willams (Leon) of Warner Robins; three grandchildren, Melissa Kirksey (Bill), Brad Williams (Sandra), Kelly Luther (Derek); and four great grandchildren.

A memorial gathering will be Monday, September 8, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.
