Shirley Overstreet, 75, of St. Marys, Georgia passed away on August 30, 2025 at her residence. Truly Shirley's life has not been in vain. She was born on August 11, 1950, to Charlie and Graddie Mae Hannah. Shirley was educated in the Camden County School System, and she was a proud graduate of Ralph J. Bunche High School.
Professionally, Shirley worked in the medical field for over forty years as a Licensed Phlebotomists Technologists. She quickly earned the reputation of being the absolute BEST in her field. Simply put, "If Shirley Could Not Draw Your Blood, No One Could." Spiritually, Shirley was a Faithful member of Wheeler Street Church of God for over forty years. She had the pleasure to serve under the leadership of Bishop Jimmy Campbell, Sr., Bishop Verdell Griffin, Sr. and Bishop Verdell Griffin, Jr. During her years and before her illness, you could find her singing in the choir on Sunday mornings giving "God the Praise." Throughout her tenure at Wheeler Street, Shirley also served in the roles of Sunday School Teacher, Church Clerk, Bible Teacher and Licensed Minister of the Gospel.

Jesup, Ga., Ashlin Keith, Savannah, Ga., Mona Moore, Columbus, Ga.; her Great Grandchildren, Kayden Taylor, Kamden Taylor, and Kenzlee Taylor, Albany, Ga.; her brothers, Ray Henry (Prudence) Raysor, Fernandina Beach, Fla., Meredith Hannah, Kingsland, Ga., Carl Overstreet, Philippines.; her Sisters: Betty Roberts, Kingsland, Ga., Sylvia (Franklin) Hannah-Hunter, Townsend, Ga., Cynthia (John) Lattnay, Saint Marys, Ga., Cynthia Elaine Overstreet, Saint Marys, Ga., Maxine (Tarvaris) Garrett, Woodbine, Ga. her aunts: Emma Hill, Woodbine, Ga., Janie Bell Walker, Woodbine, Ga.; her uncle: Eddie Kight, Jacksonville Fla.; her sisters-in-law, Brenda Overstreet, Saint Marys, Ga; Priscilla Overstreet, Salisbury, NC; four nephews who were like sons, Deon (Lenora) Overstreet, Brunswick, Ga., Jeremy Overstreet, Atlanta, Ga., Christopher (Vanessa) Overstreet, Saint Marys, Ga., Nicholas (Kelsie) Overstreet, Iowa: four nieces who were like daughters, Nivea (Antonio) Gonzalez, Kingsland, Ga., Tiffany Overstreet, Lake Oconee, Ga., Shakima (Larry) Newmans, Brunswick, Ga., Shaniqua (Gregory) Johnson, Macon, Ga.; godchildren: Gregory and LaTrenda Barcus, Jacksonville, Fla., Denise Fulword, Saint Marys, Ga., Wanda (Terry) Dawson, Atlanta, Ga.; her best friends, Bishop Jimmy and Reverend Mary Louise Campbell and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
A viewing will be held on the morning of the service, Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Wheeler Street Church Of God, 900 Wheeler Street, St. Marys, Ga. 31558 from 9:00 am until 10:30 a.m. with Funeral services beginning at 11:00 a.m.
Interment will be in Woodbine Cemetery, Hwy 110, Woodbine, Ga. Repast will be held at the Greater Trinity Community Church, 900 Osborne Street, St. Marys, Ga. 31558
