Shirley "Judy" Jamison Richmond – Nashville, TN - January 11, 1937, - October 6, 2025 (age 88). Judy was born in Nashville, TN to her parents, Flora Covington Jamison and William Jamison. Her father passed away about 1939. Her mother later married Rhea Shepherd who became a wonderful and beloved stepfather to Judy. Judy was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, and her three siblings, Doris Jamison Reese, William "Buddy" Jamison and Peggy Jean Jamison Greer. Judy was named "Shirley" by her parents, but her brothers and sisters insisted on calling her "Judy" for no specific reason and it just "stuck." All of her family and friends call her "Judy."

Judy graduated from Isacc Litton High School in 1954. In the early 50's she was a majorette in the famous "Marching One Hundred Band" from Isacc Litton. She married James Richmond soon after and bore two sons from that marriage, James in 1956 and Thomas in 1957. She was a legal secretary for several different law offices in the Nashville area for about 30 years. After that she obtained her real estate license and became a very successful realtor. She continued selling real estate up until her early 80's. She really loved that business and loved looking at houses. She also loved moving into a different house about every two to four years and it is estimated that she lived in about 50 different houses over her lifetime.

Judy passed away on October 6, 2025, in St. Thomas West hospital after enduring various health issues mostly concerning her heart and kidneys. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends, as well as her little dog, "Maggie."

Judy is survived by her 2 sons, James E. (Kerry) Richmond and Thomas A. (Judy) Richmond; 3 grandchildren, Jason Richmond, Rachel (Matthew) Potts, and Holly (Austin) Metzkes; 2 great-grandsons, Wyatt Potts and Bryce Potts. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews that she remained close to. She was a member of Paragon Mills Church of Christ.

Funeral services will be conducted by Robert "Bob" Uldrich on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. (visitation 12:00 – 2:00 p.m.) at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel at 5852 Nolensville Road, Nashville, TN. Burial following service at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 1101 Lebanon Pike, Nashville, TN 37210. Pall Bearers will be Matthew Potts, Austin Metzkes, Wyatt Potts and John Reese.
