Shirley Emma Rolstad

Shirley Emma Rolstad 86, passed peacefully in her sleep, February 15, 2025 at Brookdale Skyline in Colorado Springs, CO.

Shirley was born on October 11, 1938, to Beno and Sally Dittrich in New Ulm, MN. She graduated from New Ulm High School in 1956. She married Dean Rolstad on October 11, 1957, together they had three children.

In 1963, Dean, a farmer and Shirley, a woman busting with confidence grabbed up their three kids and headed to Colorado Springs. "We will figure everything out when we get there" Shirley told Dean. She was a strong woman, an amazing mother, and loving grandmother.

Over the years, Shirley worked at Western Forge, JCPenney, Jones Real estate School, and Colorado Springs National Bank, all before discovering her passion, Antiques and Collectables. Shirley loved watching the Broncos, family get togethers and most of all she loved playing Hand and Foot at the Colorado Springs Senior Center.

Shirley was preceded in death by Dean in 2018 after celebrating 62 years together. Shirley is survived by her three children. Gregory (Kyra) Rolstad, Mitchell (Dee) Rolstad, and Julie (Ernest) Branch...eight grandchildren: Natalie (Mike) Kietzman, Emilyanne Witt, Jordan (Lindsay) Branch, Debra (Stephen White) Luna, Dustin Rolstad, Elizabeth Woodruff, Austin Rolstad, Molly (Andrew) Smith, and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her best friend, since 1963, Nancy Finstrom.
