Shirley Mae Vincent Rowsey 76 of Wilson, passed away on Sunday, December 21,2025, at home with her husband. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Pkwy W, Wilson, NC, at 11:00am. Ralph Dawson Webb will be officiating.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Joyner’s Funeral Home, from 10:00 until 10:45am. There will be a reception following the service for family and friends to come together for sharing memories and comfort at 4803 Bayview Place, Wilson, NC.

Born on October 12, 1949, in Colonial Heights, VA, she grew up in Chesterfield, VA attending Thomas Dale High School where she met her husband to be. Shirley cherished time with her family and friends. She had a strong faith in Jesus and was a great prayer warrior. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and nana.

Shirley is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Carleton Franklin Rowsey; her son Chad Carleton Rowsey and wife Alli; her grandchildren, Haley, Brandon, Caleb, and Kennedy Rowsey; her great- grandchildren, John Patrick (J.P.), Riley, Carly, and Brycelynn Wallace; and her sister Joan Ketcham.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lee Vincent and Lillian Gettings Vincent; her daughter, Michele Wallace; and her great-granddaughter, Hayzel Cryslynn Wallace.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in her memory.
