Billie Rowsey Obituary


BILLIE JANE ROWSEY was born on November 29, 1936, in Powellton, WV and lived in Mt. Carbon, WV. She passed away on August 15, 2025 at CAMC General. She was the daughter of the late William "Bill" and Mildred Malone.
Billie was preceded in death by her son, William "Mark" Maner; her brother, Stephen M. Malone and her husband and best friend, Byron Rowsey.
Billie attended East Bank High School, Morris Harvey College and Kanawha Valley School of Nursing. She was employed and worked at The Peck Clinic, Hillside Clinic and Montgomery General Hospital.
Billie was the co-owner of Byron's Men Shop and Byron's Services. She was a member of Eastern Star #38 of Montgomery. She was also one of the founders of Valley Ambulance Services. Billie was a Board Member of the Upper Kanawha Valley Community Center.
Those left to cherish her memories are her brother, William "Bob" Malone of Washington State and her sister, Nancy M. Sutphin of Marmet, WV.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Garfield Bohanna and David Bohanna and other friends in the Montgomery area who provided care and companionship throughout the years.
Billie's wishes were to be cremated, no service to be held.
Arrangements are in care of O'Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery, WV.
