Mrs. Shirley Marie Rozzo, 81, formerly of Ellwood City, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 17th, 2025, while under the care of Lutheran Senior Life, Passavant Retirement Community in Zelienople.
Born on January 19th, 1944 in Conway, PA, she was the only daughter of the late Bert and Alice (Happ) Young. On January 23, 1963 she married the love of her life, Robert E. Rozzo. They shared 50 years of marriage until his passing on January 25th, 2013. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Albert, Walter, and Richard Young.
Shirley held various positions throughout her professional life. Prior to retirement, she was a crossing guard for the Ellwood City Area School District, but her most successful role and her greatest joy was caring for her family.
She is survived by her children, Denise R. (Henry) Miller, Robert W. Rozzo, Richelle L. Rozzo, and Richard A. Rozzo, grandchildren, Chakayla (Richard) Hyland, Tieraney (Johnny Dombeck) Rozzo, Railer Rozzo, Ryleigh Lucas, Jacob Lucas, and Zachary Rozzo, great-grandchildren, Wyatt Staib, Lyric Hyland, and Lynox Hyland.
With respect for Shirley's wishes there will not be a public service. Final arrangements are entrusted to the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc..
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff of Trillium House in the Abundant Life Center and Lutheran Senior Life VNA Hospice.
Her family suggests donations to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, www.stjude.org, or VNA Hosp[ice, 152 Hindman Rd., Butler, PA 16001
