She was preceded in death by her loving Husband of 63 years, John Seyferth, two sons Phillip and Bruce Seyferth; a daughter, Doris Seyferth; her parents Claude and Dessie, nee Hannah, Burnes; and four brothers, Jack, Leo, Lloyd and Richard Burnes. Surviving are her children, Diana (Joe) Powell of Granite City, IL, David Seyferth of North Dupo, IL, Jerretta Seager of North Dupo, IL, and Jefferson (Laura) Seyferth of East Carondelet, IL; two brothers, Robert (Connie) Burnes of Dunnellon, FL and Dale Burnes of Du Quoin, IL; 10 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 6 great, great grandchildren. She was also a dear sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend. Shirley was lovingly referred to as "Momma Shirley and Granny or Grandma" by the many people that loved her. Condolences may be expressed online at braunfh.com. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Assocation. Visitation: Friends may visit from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at Braun Family Funeral Home, Columbia, Illinois. I always thought about you all the time. Until one day I started going to the church that Diana and Joe is going too. Until I heard your name in church and my heart dropped and I have seen you across the room. I got up and went and sat by you. I started to cried and you started to cry a little we hugged and we talked. I have always loved you when I first meet you and everyone else too. Now I know in my heart why God brought me to the church. You always have a special place in my heart. I will always cherish the memories we spent together and singing with the praise team. I loved our last little dance that we did on your birthday going up to sing. As Joe was singing his song. I will never ever forget this special lady Shirley. I bet its so beautiful in heaven. I will always remmber you and always love you.

You will be so deeply missed. You was a wonderful woman and a wonderful grandmother. I wish things could have been different, but God always has a plan. I love you, and I hope daddy and grandpa was waiting for you with arms wide open. I´m grateful to have another angel to watch over me
