Shirley Ann Sisk, born on May 11, 1941, in Haywood County, left this world peacefully on August 11, 2025, at Silver Bluff Village. She was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.
Shirley spent many years of her career working diligently at the American Enka Plant, later contributing her skills at Welco. Beyond her professional life, she was known for her charitable spirit, often giving to various organizations, reflecting her profound compassion for those in need. Shirley's love for all of God's creatures, especially dogs, was evident in her daily life as she enjoyed feeding the animals that visited her yard.
As she attended Rocky Face Baptist Church in Canton, Shirley found solace and joy within her community of faith. Her friendly demeanor was complemented by her love for social gatherings, particularly reminiscing about her thrilling experiences at the NASCAR racetrack with friends. While she enjoyed these outings, she also cherished the comfort of home, where she found peace and contentment.
Shirley's greatest pride came from her family and her adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her son, Keith Jenkins (Debbie); daughter, Rhonda Hooper (Glen); grandchildren, Cody Hooper, Casey Kirkman (Aaron), and Aaron Jenkins (Emily); as well as great-grandchildren Regan Hall, Lila Kirkman, Daniel Kirkman, and Anna Jenkins.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 23 years, George "Cisco" Sisk, just a few months prior, as well as her parents Clyde Reagan and Ethel Carver Reagan. Also welcoming her in eternal rest are her brothers Charles, Bud, and Homer Reagan, and her sister Lucille Ridpath.
Shirley Ann Sisk will be profoundly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy of kindness, love for animals, and dedication to her family will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
A Celebration of Life will be announced soon.
