Shirley Ann Myers Spiggle, 87, of Timberville, passed away November 4, 2025 at UVA Medical Center in Charlottesville.

She was born August 11, 1938 in Rockingham County and was a daughter of the late James W. and Evelyn Stultz Myers.

Shirley retired as a teacher and later as an aide from Plains Elementary School in Timberville. She was an active member of Timberville Church of the Brethren, where she sang in the choir. She graduated from Mt. Clinton High School in 1956 and Madison College in 1960. Shirley was a member of a local quilting group, was active in the Broadway High School Booster Club when her children were in school and enjoyed attending her grandchildren's and great grandchildren's sporting events.

On February 13, 1960 she married Charles Turner Spiggle, who preceded her in death on May 29, 2024.

Surviving her are her three children; Sheila S. Huffman and husband Neal, of Lovettsville, Sherry Ann Harman and husband Pete, of Broadway, Michael Lawrence Spiggle and wife Alisa, of Linville, two sisters; Louise Howdyshell, of Bridgewater, Betty Young, of Roanoke and sister-in-law; Mary Hypes and husband Wayne.

She was a proud Nana to eight grandchildren; Josh Pultz and wife Jessica, Ben Pultz and wife Jessica, Tyler Huffman, Hannah Mehaffie and husband Daniel, Leah Spiggle, Trevor Spiggle, Drew Spiggle, Grayson Harman, six great grandchildren; Mason Mehaffie, McKinley Mehaffie, Jackson Pultz, Everleigh Pultz, Jenna Pultz, Crew Pultz.

Pastor Karl Magenhofer will conduct a graveside service 11:00 AM Saturday, November 15th at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens in Harrisonburg.

Her wishes were to be cremated and there will not be any services at Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Timberville Church of the Brethren, P.O. Box 1114, Timberville, VA 22853.
