Charles Turner Spiggle

Charles Turner Spiggle, 91 of Timberville, passed away May 29, 2024 at Sentara RMH Medical Center.
He was born on February 3, 1933 in Shenandoah County VA, to the late Melvin and Nellie Clem Spiggle.
Charles graduated in May 3, 1951 from Triplett High. He joined the Marine Corp June 6, 1951- June 5,1954, and served in the Korean War. He attended Strayers Business in Harrisonburg for one year. He held various jobs and ended up working 30 years for Southern States, serving as manager in Leesburg, Augusta, also Rockingham Petroleum in Harrisonburg where he retired after 33 years. He worked at Harrisonburg Auto Auction for 11 years. He was a former member of the Timberville Lions Club and Harrisonburg Oilman's Association and a member of the Timberville Church of the Brethren.
Survived by wife, Shirley being married for 64 years, daughters; Sheila and Neal Huffman of Lovettsville VA, Sherry and Pete Harman of Broadway VA, son Michael and Alisa Spiggle of Linville VA, a proud YiYi to eight grandchildren; Josh Pultz, Ben Pultz, Tyler Huffman, Hannah Mehaffie, Leah Spiggle, Trevor Spiggle, Drew Spiggle and Grayson Harman, great grandchildren; Mason Mehaffie, Jackson Pultz, Everleigh Pultz, Jenna Pultz, Crew Pultz, sister Mary and Wayne Hypes of Charlottesville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Reva and husband Randy Ferrell, Patricia Lynn Spiggle.
At his request his body will be cremated, and burial will be private.
