Shirley Louise Stewart, age 79, of Yukon, passed away on August 6th, 2025. She was born on May 13, 1946, in Borger, TX, to Otho and Zada (Burkett) Allen.
She graduated with a master's degree from Oklahoma University. She worked as a teacher and librarian for Oklahoma City Public Schools until her retirement.
On October 14, 1974, she married the love of her life, Lloyd Stewart. They enjoyed 48 wonderful years together. Shirley and Lloyd loved to travel together.
Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd, and her parents.
Shirley is survived by her step-son, Lloyd; sisters in law Kathryn Marshall and husband Randall, Lavena Bolander and husband Joe; grandsons, Coby and Cory Stewart; great-grandkids Zoey and Zayden Stewart; nieces Lavena Wyatt and husband Darren, Janeen Wyatt and husband Dennis, Rozetta Goodman and husband Lonnie, Sharonda Garcia and husband David, Laronda Sponberg and husband Kenneth; 12 great-nieces and great-nephews.
Public visitation is scheduled for Thursday, August 7th, from 1-8pm at McNeil's Funeral Service.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 8th, at 10am in the McNeil's Funeral Chapel.
Shirley will be laid to rest with her husband, Lloyd, at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
