Shirley Laverne Taylor, a beloved member of her family, friends, and community, passed away on September 29, 2025, in Lancaster, Texas, at the age of 59. Born on May 16, 1966, in Dallas, Texas, Shirley was a compassionate who touched the lives of many through kindness and warmth.

Having graduated from Wilmer Hutchins High School as part of the Class of 1984, Shirley carried with her a deep appreciation for education and the opportunities it presents. Her passion for life was evident in the way she engaged with those around her, always bringing joy and positivity to every interaction.

Shirley was more than just a friend; she was a confidante, a source of support, and a cherished soul whose absence will be profoundly felt. Her personality stood out in any setting, as she had an innate ability to make others feel valued and loved. She will be missed deeply by all who had the privilege to know her.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a viewing to be held on October 12, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas located at 4155 S R. L. Thornton Fwy, Dallas, TX 75224. Following the viewing, a funeral service will take place on October 13, 2025, beginning at 11:00 AM at the same location, concluding at 12:00 PM.
