Golden Gate Funeral Home - DallasIt is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tomasita Reyna Martinez, a beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, who left us on October 1, 2025, at the age of 74 in her hometown of Dallas, Texas, where she was born on June 4, 1951.
Tomasita was a vibrant soul, a ray of sunshine who brightened every room she entered, radiating warmth with her ever-present smile. Known for her generous spirit and giving nature, she was often referred to as a “second mom” by many who crossed her path. Her kitchen was a sanctuary where she worked her magic as a great cook, serving up not just meals but moments of togetherness and love.
Her family was her pride and joy; she took immense pride in her daughters and grandchildren, and each accomplishment of theirs filled her heart with unending joy. She embraced life fully, dancing to the tunes of her favorite bands—Sonny and Cher, Selena, and The Beatles—bringing laughter and song into the lives of those around her.
Tomasita had a passion for adventure, often found at the casinos, delighting in the thrill of the game, and celebrating winning moments, including her joyful experience as a Cash Five Lotto winner. She was a true people person, always seeking to connect with others, listen, and share stories that would linger long after she had left the room.
She is survived by two daughters, Laura Escobar, son in law, Samuel Escobar, and grandchildren Ava and Max, daughter, Linda Martinez, and grandchildren, Arika Oliver, Adalyn Moreno and Adriana Moreno
Her spirit will continue to resonate in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. As we come together to celebrate her extraordinary life, we invite family and friends to join us for her funeral service, held on October 7, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas.
Tomasita Reyna Martinez may have departed from our sight, but the memories of her laughter, love, and culinary delights will forever remain etched in our hearts. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, joy, and an indomitable spirit that will live on in her beloved daughters and grandchildren.
