Shirley Keller Treaudo Obituary
New Orleans, LA - Shirley Keller Treaudo peacefully answered the Lord's call on Monday, July 28, 2025. A lifelong resident of New Orleans, Shirley was born at Charity Hospital to her proud parents, the late Jessie Foster and Mamie Simpson on November 3, 1949. She was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School and went on to attend Southern University at New Orleans. Shirley was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her four children, thirteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Shirley is also preceded in death by other beloved family members, Marie Payne, Alex Chapman, Clarence Payne, Ernest Keller, Sam Keller and Willie Mae Burton. A professional homemaker, Shirley was well-known for her creativity in the kitchen and the deep love she extended to her children and grandchildren. Her nurturing spirit, homemade meals and unwavering support left a lasting impact on everyone blessed to know her. A memorial service honoring the life and legacy of the late Shirley Keller Treaudo will be held in the Chapel of Charbonnet Labat Glapion Funeral Home, 1615 St. Philip Street, New Orleans, LA 70116 on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at 1 pm.
