Shirley Frances (Williams) Trewitt, 85, went home to be with her Lord on August 15, 2025, in Mansfield, Texas. She was a resident of Arlington, Texas.
Shirley was born to Thomas Barker Williams and Ethel Mae (Burns) Williams on January 21st, 1940. Born and raised in Houston, Texas, she would later attend Abilene Christian College, where she met her husband of 55 years, George W. Trewitt.
Shirley was an avid painter, with several full-sized canvas paintings to her credit. She also enjoyed reading, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Shirley enjoyed her quiet devotional time in the Spirit, reading and praying. She continued her dedication to prayer for others well into her 80's. She also had a fantastic sense of humor, and was always known to tell a joke or two.
Shirley is survived by her son David Trewitt, and daughter-in-law, Kayla Trewitt, grandson Aaron Trewitt, and his wife, Katie Trewitt. Grandson Harrison Trewitt, granddaughters Delaney Trewitt and McKenna Trewitt, great-grandchildren Avery Trewitt, and Emma Trewitt.
She is preceded in death by husband George Trewitt, son George Trewitt, and daughter-in-law Lisa Trewitt.
