Shirley Delone Wingler, 80, of Perry, Georgia, passed away peacefully at her residence on the morning of Thursday, March 13, 2025.
Born on August 17, 1944, in LePanto, Arkansas, Shirley was the daughter of the late William and Dixie Black Winebaugh. Shirley worked as a manager at Zippy Mart for many years and enjoyed never meeting a stranger.
Known for her fierce and unconditional love for her family, especially her grandchildren, Shirley was a devoted matriarch who made everyone feel special. She was a true firecracker, always quick with a smile or a joke, and would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. Her presence brightened any room with her fun-loving nature.
Shirley also had a special love for playing BINGO, a passion so deep that she named her dog “Bingo" in honor of her favorite pastime. She was also known for making the best biscuits and gravy, and the taste of home that will be missed by many.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her nine beloved siblings.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Michael Wingler of Forsyth, Annette Pender (Ted), and Tammy Mahon (Fred), all of Perry; grandchildren, Alisha Bivins (Emily) of Byron, Jason Bivins of Kathleen, Dixie Zamagias (Steve) of Athens, Tiffany Crowe (James) and Brittany Campbell (Kyle), all of Warner Robins; and Zane Mahon of Perry; great-grandchildren, Kelsey and Raley Bivins, Ariah and River Crowe, Magnolia Campbell, Emily Zamagias, and Knox Campbell; as well as her sister, Mary Borton (Mark) of Clio, Michigan; and a host of several other beloved extended family members and friends.
At the family’s request, all services held will be private.
