Shirley Ann Drahos Winiesdorffer, 91, of Wheeling, passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at Good Shepherd Nursing Home.
She was born in Bellaire, Ohio on April 30, 1933, daughter of the late Michael and Jessie Drahos.
Shirley worked for Watkins and Trott Hallmark Store in Downtown Wheeling for many years. She was a member of the former Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, now Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she was a longtime member of the church choir. Shirley loved music, was a member of the Thursday Music Club, and a past member of Ohio Valley Chorale.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Winiesdorffer.
Surviving are her children, Donna (Dr. Dennis) Niess of Wheeling, WV, Brian (Dan Brady) Winiesdorffer of Tampa, FL, Jeffrey Winiesdorffer of Flowery Branch, GA; brother, Michael (Susan Nally) Drahos; sister, Kitty (Ronald) Patrick; grandchildren, Adrienne (David) Ausdenmoore, Adam (Anne) Niess, Ali Winiesdorffer; great grandchildren, Micah, Asher, Ezra, and Lilia Niess; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends and family will be received at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 16 Ridgecrest Road, Wheeling, WV 26003, on Friday, September 20, 2024, from 10 am until time of service at 11 am with Bishop Ralph Dunkin officiating.
Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 16 Ridgecrest Road, Wheeling, WV 26003, or Thursday Music Club, 2507 Hess Avenue, Wheeling, WV 26003.
