Shirley Wiza, 87, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2025. A beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Shirley's life was a testament to the power of love, family, and boundless creativity.
Born to Doyle and Louise Snyder, Shirley brought joy to all who knew her. Her warmth and generosity extended to her family and friends, enriching their lives with her exceptional baking skills, delicious home-cooked meals, and countless hours of laughter spent playing cards and tackling jigsaw puzzles and word searches. Above all, Shirley found immense pleasure in decorating her home for the holidays. Her festive displays, both inside and out, were legendary, bringing smiles to neighbors and passersby alike. Her home was a beacon of cheer, a testament to her joyful spirit.
Preceded in death by her parents, Doyle and Louise Snyder; brothers Harry and Ernest "Duke" Snyder; her husband, Florian "Fonz" Wiza; and her son, Mike Spurlock, Shirley is survived by her daughters, Robin Walkowski and Vickie (Jim) Windward; her brother, Morris Snyder; and her grandchildren Justin (Traci) Walkowski, Skyler Walkowski, Anthony, Joshua, and Michael Windward, and Dennis Spurlock, and Michael Spurlock; as well as numerous other cherished family members, including nieces, nephews, daughters-in-law, a stepdaughter, and many more grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The extent of her loving connections speaks volumes about the profound impact she had on all those whose lives she touched.
