Shyrll Lee Williams passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at the age of 80. She was born October 9, 1944, in Pasadena, Texas to the late Edward Hugh Schaefer and Julia Hardiway (Hall) Schaefer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Julia Schaefer and daughter, Deanna Howard.
Shyrll is survived by her husband, Billy Edward Williams; daughter, Jennifer Boggs and husband Frank; stepdaughters, Stephanie Swanson and husband Ron; Katherine Bruce and husband Mike; stepson, Keith Williams; grandchildren, Chad Boggs, Kelsey Nigbur, John Nigbur, Brittany Volquardsen and Alydia Bruce; great grandchildren, Marlee and Riley Heiman.
Shyrll married Billy on August 18,1984. For more than 40 years, Shyrll and Billy were a dynamic duo, who loved to hang out together watching football, baseball and traveling to casinos together. Some of the casinos included the Golden Nugget and Binion's Horseshoe in Las Vegas; Isle of Capri and Coushatta Casino in Louisiana; and the Golden Nugget in Biloxi, MS.
Shyrll was born in Pasadena, Texas and grew up in Spring Branch, Texas. She graduated from Spring Branch High School in 1962. She worked as an accountant for American National Insurance in Galveston for many years and later worked for BFI, from where she retired. She was a paramount bowler, where she played in numerous leagues over the years. Shyrll will be remembered for her sassy humor, sweet tea, numerous recipes and for being a strong woman.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Emken-Linton Funeral Home, 5100 Emmett F. Lowry Expressway, Texas City, Texas with funeral services to follow at 10:30 a.m.
