Sidney Wade Bluemel

Sidney Wade "Wade" Bluemel, age 60, of Center Point, Texas, passed away at his home on January 20, 2026.

Wade was born on October 16, 1965, to Jerdie and Sid Bluemel. He lived life on his own terms and will be remembered as a true free spirit with an imagination that time could never slow down.

He is survived by his daughter, Cheyanne Rainwater (Trevor) of Kerrville, Texas, and his son, Sidney Bluemel of Center Point, Texas. Wade was a proud grandfather to Pyper Grace, Taytum Faith, and Caleb Michael Wayne. He often talked about the day he would buy each of them their first Henry .22, a memory his grandchildren will cherish forever.

Wade is also survived by his siblings: his brother Kirby Whitworth (Jana) of Center Point, Texas, with nephews Josh Whitworth (Amanda) of Center Point Tx and Nathan Whitworth (Tiffany) of Kerrville Tx ; and his sister Truela D'Ann Piper of Kerrville, Texas, with nephew Harley Piper (Hattie) of Kerrville, Texas, nephew Corey Arntfield of Oklahoma, and nieces Ashley Caskey (George) of Harper, Texas, and Regan Garcia (Mike) of Kerrville, Texas, along with numerous great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

A true jack of all trades, Wade loved fishing, being surrounded by friends, and tinkering with anything that had a motor. There was rarely a moment when he wasn't covered in grease, happily working on his next project. You could often find Wade in the garage with his son, tinkering and teaching-and, of course, getting frustrated when the flashlight was moved. Wade was known as the life of the party-always armed with the best jokes and a quick wit, never afraid to laugh at himself if it meant making others smile. Many will forever remember him for his unmistakable mustache, great hair, and larger-than-life personality.

Wade will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but his laughter, stories, and free spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
