Coralville-Sierra Dawn Felling was born January 3,1998 in Keosauqua, Iowa, the daughter of Lynettia Overhulser. Sierra graduated from Iowa Valley High School in 2016. She grew up in the Keokuk area, moved to Marengo, and spent the past five years in Coralville. Sierra worked in the retail industry and was a social media influencer. Sierra enjoyed dancing, ice skating, and spending time with her friends and family. She was very close with nature and was spiritual. Sierra passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa at the age of 27 surrounded by loved ones.
She is survived by her father Roger Felling (Tricia) of Marengo; significant other Gavyn Schoenberger of Coralville; mother Lynettia Overhulser; 3 sisters, Kassandra (Andy) Saunders, Ariel Montenegro along with her children, Rosalina and Grayson Horning, and Tasha (Corey) Hokanson. She was preceded in death by her sister Christina Felling, grandparents, Dwight and Anita Felling and John and Teresa Overhulser.
The family would like to give their gratitude to Gavyn for the exceptional care he has provided to Sierra throughout her cancer journey, to the Unity Point Hospice team to include Michelle MSN, RN, HN-BC, Kim RN, Hailey RN, Michelle RN, Ashley PCT, Alex RN, Tessa PCT, Rachel PCT, Lisa ARNP, Dr. Younger and Liz housekeeper, and Alma Drake Spiritual Healer.
