Joan M. Felling

Joan M. (Bonneprise) Felling, died peacefully on August 13th, 20­­­25 in her home in Florence, AZ.
Joan was born September 18, 1931 on a dairy farm in East Farmington, Wisconsin to Joseph and Matilda (Kromrey) Bonneprise, the third of four children. Joan graduated from St. Agnes High School in St. Paul in 1949. She married Jerome Gerhardt Felling from Sauk Center, MN that same year. In 1952, they purchased a dairy farm in East Farmington and worked side by side for 38 years. During this time they had 6 children: Dennis, Rita, Lynda, Mike, Marybeth, and Greg. While on the farm, Joan was organist for 38 years at Assumption Parish in East Farmington and taught Catechism for 20 years.
After selling their farm in 1989, Joan and Jerry spent winters in Florence, AZ. Joan was organist in Florence AZ at her church, also named "Assumption Parish". During retirement, they enjoyed golfing, horse shoes, cards, and great times with friends. Joan was a wonderful seamstress, making most of her families clothing. She had a large garden on the farm, canning vegetables and baking bread for the family. Joan loved projects and learned woodworking and remodeling.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Matilda Bonneprise, sister Rita Bonneprise, and brother Benjamin Bonneprise. In 2018 she lost her wonderful husband Jerome after 69 years of marriage. She was preceded in death by her eldest son Dennis (Barb) and her son in law Patrick (Rita).
Joan is survived by her brother John Bonneprise, daughter in law Barbara Felling (Dennis) of Wyoming MN; daughter Rita Mckee, (Steve) of Milltown, WI; daughter Lynda Nordling (Brad) of Naperville, IL; son Michael Felling (Susan) of Stillwater, MN; Marybeth Uran (Robert); of Florence AZ and Greg Felling (Laurie) of Franklin, TN. Joan is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Memorials preferred to Catholic Youth Camp.

Joan will be buried beside her husband Jerome in St. Mary's cemetery in Farmington, WI after a Requiem Mass at Assumption church in Farmington on Friday, September 5, 2025. Visitation 10 am, Mass 11 am. Lunch to follow at church.
