Christopher David Edmonson went home to Glory on September 29, 2025, while at home in Chisago City, MN. He was 60 years old.
Chris was preceded in death by his grandparents: Einar and Ardys (Frederickson) Duoos, and Orvan and Evelyn (Ratzlaff) Edmonson; as well as his mother, Bonnie Lee (Duoos) Edmonson.
Christopher was born on June 3, 1965, in Minneapolis, MN. He grew up in Apple Valley, MN, as the oldest of six siblings. Chris was six years old when he trusted Christ as his Lord and Savior. Chris graduated from Apple Valley High School in 1983 and went on to the University of Minnesota, graduating with his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering in 1987.
Before graduating from high school, Chris worked with his father at H-M-Vehicles, building three-wheeled cars called Freeways, and taking care of the bookkeeping at their company. At just 15 years of age, Chris designed and built his own Freeway car, complete with all the tech available at that time.
Christopher married Pamela Johnson on August 16, 1986 in Eagan, MN. They recently celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary. Chris was overjoyed when their son, Aaron, was born. They enjoyed many adventures as a family – camping, hiking, boating, and visiting various historical sites and national parks around the country. Chris especially loved taking Aaron on long hikes, exploring the woods they loved so much.
Throughout Chris's life, he was fascinated by computers, utilizing them daily for work and pleasure. He especially enjoyed working on his original "Commodore 64." As Chris learned more, he went on to build computers for his family. Chris was a man of many talents. He was an incredible handyman around the house – fixing appliances, vehicles, etc. He knew all the best farmer's markets and orchards. He built friendships with many people while discussing produce.
Chris was a dedicated worker for Liberty Check Printers, now part of Vericast, for 35 years. He specialized in computer programming. His talents will be greatly missed.
Christopher is survived by his wife, Pamela; their son, Aaron; his father, Orvan David Edmonson; siblings: Becky (Tony) Brown of Breezy Point, MN; Jeremy (Lainie) Edmonson of Hastings, MN; Heidi Edmonson (Jeremy Bierlein) of Eagan, MN; Tim (Susie) Edmonson of Castle Rock, CO; Jon (Nicki) Edmonson of Blaine, MN; Sister-in-law, Gina (Scott) Jibben of Watertown, SD; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Chris will be dearly missed by his family.
