Michael Alan Edmonson, 66, a Business Owner / Operator of Michael's Machine Shop, died March 6, 2025, at his residence. Visitation is Monday, March 10, 2025, 10:00am - 11:00am at Clarksdale Baptist Church in Clarksdale, MS. Funeral services are 11:00am Monday at Clarksdale Baptist Church in Clarksdale, MS with burial in the Memorial Gardens Lyon, MS. Meredith Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale, MS is handling the arrangements.
Michael was a pillar to our community and loved by many. He was a man whose presence touched the lives of everyone he encountered. He had a passion for hunting, was a deacon of Clarksdale Baptist Church, where he also taught Sunday School. He was a member of the Exchange Club and the proud owner of Michael's Machine Shop. He was more than just a good spirit; he had an open heart that made everyone feel welcome and valued.
Michael's love for hunting was well-known, but it was his deep love and devotion to his wife and family that truly defined him. He cherished every moment spent with them, creating a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering support.
His love for the Lord shone brightly in the way he lived his life. Michael's faith was not just a belief; it was a guiding force that influenced every aspect of his being. His compassion, integrity, and dedication to serving others were a testament to his faith and love for God.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Karen Kirksey Edmonson of Clarksdale, MS; son Matthew Edmonson (Samantha) of Clarksdale, MS; daughter Caroline Edmonson (Harry Nance) of Ridgeland, MS; grandson Charles Logan Edmonson mother Bobby Mallette Edmonson, brother Charlie Edmonson (Jennifer) of Macon, GA; sisters Susan Lowrey(Ken)of CA., Trisha Edmonson of Sarah, MS; father in law and mother in law, Marion (Mutt) & Tommie Carter of Clarksdale, MS.
Preceded in death by his father Charles Thomas Edmonson and brother Tom Edmonson.
As we remember Michael, let us celebrate the remarkable man he was. Let us cherish the memories, the stories, and the moments that made him so special to each of us. Though he may no longer walk among us, his spirit and the love he shared will forever remain in our hearts.
