Al Norris Edmonson, Jr. passed away peacefully on August 8, 2025 of natural causes at his home in Tomball, Texas. He was born on December 13, 1959 to the late Al Norris Edmonson, Sr. and Janie Mae Edmonson. Al was born and raised in Beaumont where he grew up surrounded by family, faith, and community. Those who knew him will remember his kind heart, warm spirit, and the love he shared with family and friends throughout his life. He is preceeded in death by his only daughter, Juanita Marie Riggs. He is survived by his 3 brothers, David Wayne Edmonson, Rodney Lloyd Edmonson, and Terrance Edmonson, and 1 sister Carolyn Ruth Edmonson and a host of neices, nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends. Al will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who had the blessing of knowing him. A private service will be held to honor his life and legacy. The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a charity, church, or cause meaningful to him. Al's memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, who take comfort in knowing that he is at peace.

I'm Free

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free I'm following the path God has laid you see. I took His hand when I heard him call I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day To laugh, to love, to work, to play. Tasks left undone must stay that way I found that peace at the close of day. If my parting has left a void Then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss Oh yes, these things I too will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life's been full, I savored much Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief Don't lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your hearts and peace to thee God wanted me now; He set me free.

Al Norris Edmonson, Jr. lived a vibrant life filled with love, kindness, and joy. He touched many hearts and will be deeply missed. His spirit will forever inspire those who knew him. May he rest in peace.
