Jesse Lucas Ivy, Jr., 74, formally of Clarksdale, MS, died October 3, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS. Jesse was a retired County Zoning Administrator for 44 years at the Coahoma County Road Department. Visitation is Saturday October 11, 2025, 2:00pm - 3:00pm at Meredith Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale, MS. Funeral services are 3:00pm Saturday October 11,2025, at Meredith Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale, MS with burial in the Oakridge Cemetery. Meredith Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale, MS is handling the arrangements.
Jesse uplifted his spirit by attending Monday night bible study at Riverside Baptist Church. He attended Mississippi State University where he passionately played percussion instruments in the band.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Stefanie Stein Ivy of Water Valley, MS; daughters Sherie Ivy (Allan Gray) Lane of Huntsville, AL, Merie Ivy Ryan of Cabot, AR; five grandchildren Lucas Allan Lane of Huntsville, Al, Ethan Bryant Lane of Huntsville, AL, Michael Jesse Ryan of Cabot, AR, Elizabeth Jeneve Ryan of Cabot, AR, Scarlette JoAnn Ryan of Cabot, AR.
Preceded in death by his parents Jesse Lucas & Peggy Smith Ivy, Sr; daughter at the age of 3 1/2 Laurie Genieve Ivy; sister Sandra Ann Ivy.
Memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in honor of his daughter Laurie Genieve Ivy or Jesse Lucas Ivy, Jr.
