Logan R. Shinler

Logan Ray Shinler, age 33, passed away unexpectedly at his residence in Shoreview, MN on Tuesday, September 2, 2025.
Logan was born on September 21, 1991 in Chisago City, MN to parents, Kevin Shinler and KrisAnn Walters. He attended North Branch Area High School, graduating in the class of 2010. He was a talented glass glazier and spent many years working at Galaxy Glass in Fargo, ND. Recently, Logan had been promoted from glazier to journeyman in his union at MT Contracting. He married Amanda Hurtley on September 20, 2020 at Creekside Farm Weddings & Events in Rush City, MN and to this union, had two children: Kezia (4) and Weslan (2).
Logan loved spending time with his family, and being a father. He was kind, gentle, protective, sometimes stubborn, and knew how to make people laugh. He was quick-witted and could light up a room with his jokes and his exceptional grilling skills. He enjoyed motor sports, snowboarding, hunting, and golfing. He loved music and going to concerts, and could likely tell you the name of any song or the artist, even if he didn't care for that song. He had an incredible work ethic and is going to be missed by all those who had the opportunity to know him.
Logan is survived by his wife, Amanda; children Kezia and Weslan; father Kevin (Anne); mother KrisAnn Chambers; grandparents, Leroy Shinler, and Woody and Billie Walters; sisters, Nikki (Brandon) Milton, Susan (Zach Atwood) Anderson, and Alexa Shinler; nephew, Kendrick Milton; niece Maeve Milton; parents-in-law, Linda and Alan Hurtley; siblings-in-law, Julia and Alex Hurtley; beloved dog Luna; many aunts, uncles, cousins, other extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Ceil Shinler.
Memorial services for Logan will take place 12:00 PM Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at Trinity Lutheran Church in North Branch, MN, where Logan was baptized and confirmed. Visitation will take place two hours prior at the church. Lunch and time of fellowship to continue following the service.
