Sigfredo Cotto, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2025, in Tamarac, Florida, at the age of 85. Born on June 5, 1940, in Puerto Rico, Sigfredo lived a full and vibrant life surrounded by the love of his family and friends. He is survived by his devoted wife, Juanita, and his cherished daughters: Wendy (Jeff), Yolanda, and Evelyn (Jeffrey). Sigfredo also leaves behind his loving brother, Willie, and a legacy of grandchildren: Melissa (Mark), Ryan (Gloria), Freddie, Jeremy, and Justin (Diana); as well as great-grandchildren: Sean, Shea Boy, Jonah, Olivia, Silas, and Nicholas. He will also be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Sigfredo had a zest for life and a spirit of adventure. He found joy in the thrill of the casino-especially at the craps table-and had a lifelong fascination with airplanes. He loved fishing, the ocean, and, perhaps most surprisingly, rainy days, which brought him a quiet sense of peace. A funeral service to honor Sigfredo's life will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at 11:30 AM at Alexander-Levitt Funeral & Cremations (8135 W McNab Road Tamarac, FL 33321). Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Central (499 NW 27th Ave, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33311). Sigfredo's warmth, humor, and love will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who knew him.
