Silvia Becerra De Zavala nació de Victor Becerra y Engracia Alvarez el 25 de noviembre de 1959 en Zapotlanejo, Jalisco fue una de 7 hermanos. Tenía solo 12 años cuando llegó a Estados Unidos y después de 3 años de estar aquí conoció al amor de su vida Arturo Zavala, mientras trabajaba en una fábrica en la calle Central y 15 en el centro de Los Ángeles. Después de 5 años de noviazgo, (aunque ella nunca le dijo que sí a ser su novia) decidieron unirse en santo matrimonio el 26 de abril de 1980. De sus 45 años de matrimonio nacieron 5 hermosos hijos: Silvia, Gabriela, Arturo, Jaime y Oscar. Tuvo la suerte de poder verlos formar sus propias familias junto a sus cónyuges y de ahí vinieron 11 nietos a quienes amó profundamente. Disfrutaba viendo sus novelas con su compañero Bandit, pasando tiempo en el casino con su familia, haciendo tamales con sus amigas, ir de compras, comprar su Starbucks, haciéndose las uñas con su hija y sus nietas, y viendo a todos sus nietos jugar juntos. Ella fue definitivamente la mujer más fuerte que conocimos y siempre vivirá en nuestros corazones.
