Weslaco- Silvia Rivera, 69, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 30, 2024 at Valley Grande Manor Nursing Home in Weslaco.
Mrs. Rivera was born on August 25, 1955 to Mr. Reynaldo Reyes and Mrs. Paula Rivera in Napoleon, Ohio.
Mrs. Rivera is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Reynaldo Reyes and Mrs. Paula Rivera; her daughter, Liana Paula Rivera; her brothers, Rolando Reyes and Rafael Reyes.
Left to cherish her memories are her loving husband, Jose Luis Rivera Sr.; her sons, David Reyes, Jose Luis Rivera Jr., Israel (Genevieve) Rivera, Cody Allen Rivera, James Victor Rivera, Steven Michael Rivera; her brothers, Reynaldo Reyes, Ricardo Reyes, Roel Reyes; her sisters, Suzanna Hillstrom, Celia R. Espinosa, Cecilia Fauls, Sonia Scheurer, Andrea M. Zamorano; her close niece who she saw as her daughter, Nina Espinosa and 14 grandchildren.
Mrs. Rivera will be missed by all who loved and knew her. She was greatly loved by all her nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Mrs. Silvia Rivera is scheduled for Thursday, October 3, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Prayer Service at 6:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home- Chapel of the Heavens in Weslaco. A Chapel Service will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024 at 10:00 am at Salinas Funeral Home- Chapel of the Heavens in Weslaco. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral Services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco.
