Simajean Kaye Obituary
November 23, 1932 – January 21, 2026
Simie Kaye, age 93, of Edina, MN, passed away on January 21, 2026, after a short battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin; her parents, Phillip and Sophie Berman; and her sisters, Rosalie (Frank) Kiperstin and Elaine (Richard) Simon.
She is survived by her loving children: Bradley (Stacy), Karen (Lorraine), and Douglas; grandchildren, Naomi Kaye Williams, Daniel (Sarah Kaye), Sophie (Jack Anderson), and seven great-grandchildren.
After sending her youngest child off to college, Simie went back to school herself and earned her degree as a Certified Financial Planner. She opened her own business, Kaye Financial Planning, which she operated successfully for over 35 years.
An avid bridge player, Simie played at least 3–4 times per week at her favorite venue, Oak Ridge Country Club. Her love of family-as well as her signature fashion, style, and presence-will be deeply missed.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 23 at Temple Israel, 2323 Fremont Ave, Minneapolis. Service available on zoom at: www.hodroffs.com/SimajeanKaye (Direct Link Below)
A Celebration of Life will follow at 7:00 PM Friday evening at Oak Ridge Country Club, 700 Oak Ridge Rd.
