POIRIER, Simon P. Of Waltham, August 11, 2024. Husband of the late Helen L. (Gallant) Poirier. Father of Paula M. Fagan (Stephen) of Waltham, Stephen Hawkins (Andree) of Toronto, ON and Paul Hawkins (Linda) of London, ON. Grandfather of Jessica and Ryan Hawkins. Great-grandfather of Trent Hawkins. Brother of Madeline Cormier of Melbourne, FL and the late Albert, Johnny, Henry and Gerard Poirier, Catherine Vienneau, Beatrice Graham, Pauline Ferguson, Marie Chiasson, Jeanette Cormier, Margaret Savoie and Lorraine Bourque. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and their families. Family and friends will honor and remember Simon's life by gathering for an evening Wake on Tuesday, August 20, from 4 to 7 p.m., in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), WALTHAM, and again at 9 a.m., on Wednesday morning, before leaving in procession to Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham, where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
