Sin Hao Hong, 62, passed away at 1:00 am on Friday, January 12, 2024 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
He was born on February 1, 1961 in Savannakhet, Laos to Huiki and Khamleu (Vongsomphou) Hong.
He married Elan Kho on February 18, 1977, in Laos. She survives.
Sin Hao owned and operated the WOK Restaurant in Jerseyville, IL.
In addition to his wife, Sin Hao is survived by a daughter, Ju Lee (Michael Hulsey) Hong; two sons, Te Tee (Stephanie Hastings) Hong, and Tony (Lauren Rosenberg) Hong; two granddaughters, Ella Hong, and Sophia Hong; a grandson, Colton Hong; his mother, Khamleu Hong; a brother, Tick Hao (Thipp Monica) Hong, residing in the United States; two nieces, Minavanh Sisavath, and Alexa Hong; a nephew, Bandith Phanthavongsa; a great-nephew, Cameron Sisavath; along with 5 siblings and many extended family members in Laos.
He was preceded in death by his father, Huiki Hong and a brother, Keung Hao Hong.
Visitation will be 12:00 pm until time of Buddhist funeral service at 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey.
