SINUS MCCOY SHEPHERD SR.

SINUS MCCOY SHEPHERD, SR., age 80 of Cowan, Tenn., departed this life on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at the Tennessee State Veterans' Home in Murfreesboro, Tenn. following an extended illness. Mr. Shepherd was born in Winchester, Tenn., on November 9, 1944, to the late Kathleen Shepherd Perkins. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Shepherd moved to Elyria, Ohio and resided there for most of his life and was employed as a printing press operator at a printing company in Ohio. While living in Elyria, Mr. Shepherd attended the Greater Christ Temple Church. After living in Ohio for many years he decided he wanted to return to his home town in Tennessee, where he resided until his illness. Mr. Shepherd enjoyed being with his family and friends and will be greatly missed by them all.

In addition to his mother, Mr. Shepherd was preceded in death by his step-father, Holbert Perkins, sister, Gloria Flowers and brothers; Naymon and Daymon Perkins and Thomas Perkins.

He is survived by his son, Sinus McCoy Shepherd, Jr., of Palmer, OH; and daughter Eboni Shepherd of Glendale AZ, ;and step-daughters, Amy Sue McCall and Melissa McNeil all of Palmer, OH.; 10 grandchildren; and Sisters; Aude Fenderson and husband, Ellis of Elyria, Ohio, Charlotte Marie Perkins of Lorain, OH brothers; William Perkins of Winchester and Carl Shepherd and Troy Perkins both of Elyria, Ohio.

Graveside Services are scheduled for Monday, July 28, 2025 at 12:30 PM ET (11:30 AM CT) at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
