Shirley Ann (Clark) Johnson, 83 was born on January 10, 1942, in Pineville, Louisiana to the union of Wilbert Clark and Rosa Harris.
Shirley lived an extraordinary life for God while setting an example for others. Her life was filled with joy and laughter. She departed this life on Sunday October 5, 2025, at her home with her nephew John David Clark by her side.
Shirley was a graduate of the Carter C Raymond class of 1960. She moved to Kansas City, Missouri where she began her life with her husband. She worked on the Voter's Election Board and retired from Lakeside Ammunition Plant, Kansas City School District, and Sunshine Biscuit (Nabisco & Keebler) Company.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbert Clark; and Rosa Harris; one son, Jerry Wayne Johnson; and her late husband, Cornelius Johnson; one sister, Worley Mae Clark; one brother, Leonard Clark Sr.; niece, Wilma Faye Dorsey Summlin; Diane Dorsey; great nephews, John David Dorsey; and Steven Ray Allen Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memory her niece, Rosa M. (Dorsey) Jones (Joseph); John David Clark of Alexandria, Louisiana; God daughter, Rhonda Williams of Kansas City Missouri; great nieces and nephews, Angela Dossman (Warren); Michelle Jones both of Alexandria, Louisiana; LaKeisha D. Dorsey of Pineville, Louisiana; Alicia L. Dorsey of Houston, Texas; John David Clark (Tamika) of Lafayette, Louisiana; and Tyrell Jamal Clark Whitney of Natchitoches, Louisiana. She also will be remembered by her special friends Ms. Hazel; Ms. Wanita; Ms. Dez; and Ms. Diane.
Graveside Services will be held on Thursday October 9, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at Brooking Cemetery. There is a visitation from 10 – 11:00 a.m. at Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel 1800 East Linwood Blvd. KCMO 64109. Interment: Brooking Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapels.
